Nick Totton is a psychotherapist, trainer and supervisor with over 35 years’ experience. He originally trained as a Reichian body psychotherapist, and has an MA in Psychoanalytic studies. Since then his approach has become more integrative and open to the spontaneous and unexpected. He has spoken, taught and published widely on body psychotherapy, psychotherapy and politics, and eco-psychology.
Nick founded a training in his own synthesis, Embodied-Relational Therapy, which has been thriving for around twenty years; and more recently set up the related but distinct practice of Wild Therapy. Both of these now continue without his hands-on involvement.
Nick has published seventeen books, including: Body Psychotherapy: An Introduction; Embodied Relating: The Ground of Psychotherapy; Wild Therapy: Undomesticating Inner and Outer Worlds; Not a Tame Lion: Writings on Therpay in its Social and Political Context; Reichian Growth Work: Melting the Blocks to Life and Love; and many others.
